I’ve been BoingBoing’d!

And also Gadling’d and Forbidden Planet’d!

If you read my earlier post on my day in Metropolis, IL with Superman, you may have noticed one of the photos was of a weathered billboard featuring four of the film/TV versions of the Man of Steel advertising the Super Museum.

Checking my stats this week, I was astounded to find that photo had received over 600 hits in one day. Following the trail led me to discover that the highly read website Boing Boing had featured my photo as one of their posts. I appreciate Cory Doctorow’s kind yet brief words.

Then I discovered that the cool travel site Gadling had picked it the same day as their “Photo of the Day” with a brief commentary by Jamie Rhein. I appreciate the honor!

Then a few days later, UK website Forbidden Planet International also picked up on the photo and featured it as a posting. Thanks FPI!

Feel free to click any of the story links or images above to view the posts in a readable size and leave comments with them, if you want. I’m just super chuffed to have my photo critiqued so warmly!

For all those who have come here to zengrrl.com for more on the Superman-related stuff in Metropolis, welcome! And thanks to those who’ve left comments at the above sites or at my Flickr page for the photo. I do have more photos at my Flickr account, and a brief recount of my day here at the blog.

I also have an article at Suite101 titled Budget Destination Metropolis, IL that talks more about all the Superman-related stuff there, including the museum. Please click over if you have a moment, as it’ll help pay for future photo jaunts I do.

Thanks muchly! šŸ˜‰

And for those who posted asking for a wallpaper-sized version of the image, here it is:

“Right-click save-as” to grab it.

By downloading, you agree that you will use it only for personal use as your computer’s wallpaper. You will not alter it (except to reduce the size for your screen resolution) or use it for any other purpose, including a blog design, or as part of a screensaver, without permission from me.

And it goes without saying anybody caught hotlinking the image will face a wrath far greater than any hunk of kryptonite could deliver.
