I’m Going to #IPW2015 Here in Orlando Next Week

As my long-time readers know, I used to be a full-time travel writer. Then I got sick and have spent the last three years focusing on CItySurfing Orlando. It’s still travel writing, but I don’t travel much outside the city limits.

IPW 2015

Now that I’ve come through my cancer battle, and my heart is the strongest it has been in three years (doc says!), I’m focusing on getting back into the travel part of travel writing.

That’s why I’m super excited that I will be attending IPW 2015 here in Orlando at the end of the month.

IPW is a travel conference that brings representatives of city and state convention/visitor bureaus all in one place. The primary function is that buyers worldwide can check out destinations to send their clients to. The secondary function is to let journalists from around the world connect with U.S. destinations for future travel pieces.

I’m going to be happily attending all the press conferences during the five day period, as well as trying to meet with some pr reps in my downtime. I’ve also already got some cool Orlando press trips lined up during the week.

I know it’s still going to be a while before I am back to traveling full time, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Any of my travelwriting friends going to IPW? Let me know, I’d love to see you.
