Alive is a South Korean horror film

#Alive is a South Korean horror film currently streaming on Netflix, and it’s an exhilarating zombie flick.

The film revolves around a video game live streamer named Joon-woo (Yoo Ah-in) who lives with his family in a high rise apartment complex. He’s a millennial slacker, and it takes him a bit to connect the dots that something horrible is happening in the real world.

He soon finds himself alone in the building, food dwindling, and the undead are starting to roam the halls.

Just as he realizes no help is coming, he is alerted to the presence of Yoo-bin (Park Shin-hye), a girl barricaded in an apartment across the parking lot.

Will the two survivors be able to get together, or will they fall victim to the zombie hoard?

#Alive is a action-packed film that uses the claustrophobic apartments and hallways to its advantage to create tension with a low budget and little gore.

Most of the film only has the two main characters in it, and the actors playing Joon-woo and Yoo-bin are great in their roles.

#Alive is actually a remake of the American film Alone, which due to the coronovirus, is getting released after #Alive. Go figure. I don’t know how the two compare, but I really enjoyed watching #Alive.
