Moana Inspired Rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Walt Disney World has released a first look at the newly reimagined guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and I have the details for you.

The rooms feature a new color palette inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its many islands, including textures and patterns from the Disney movie, “Moana.”

The details are done well. As you can see in the bathrooms, for instance, Disney Imagineers took inspiration from the sandy ocean floor for the tiles and carved details in the vanity.

You’ll also find plenty of tropical touches throughout the room like at this coffee station nook.

I think it looks like a lovely revamp of the rooms, and the new touches really bring out the South Pacific feel. I also love the subtle ways they’ve incorporated Moana, which is one of my fave Disney movies.

It’s all part of the updates to the property being done in advance of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration, which kicks off October 1, 2021.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is now accepting bookings for late July 2021.
